If you’re on this page, you must be looking for a cake smash photographer in Barnsley and a fun way to mark your little ones first birthday. A whole year has passed already! You’re probably feeling a mixture of emotions, happy to sleep more (if you’re lucky) and sad that your baby is growing up too fast. The first year passes by so quickly with so many changes and wonderful memories. It’s worth celebrating in style.
Cake smash is a fun way to celebrate your babies first birthday and capturing some fun memories.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE SHOOT?
It’s pretty simple. We start off with capturing some beautiful images of your little one on their own smiling, giggling and playing with some beautiful toys and balloons before the big event. At this point we can also include some photos with parents.
Then comes out the cake. This is the fun bit, where you get to see their personality shine through even more. Some babies dive in and others just nibble little bits of the cake, it’s all fun to watch. This part can get very messy.
Once they have finished with their cake, we pack it away (if there is any left), for you to enjoy at home.
The final part of the session is the splash time. This one most babies tend to love the most. We capture some wonderful photos of them splashing around, playing with bubbles and rubber ducks.
DO WE NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?
You don’t need to worry about bringing much, the cake, outfits and toys are all provided. We do ask that you bring your own baby bubble bath.

WHEN WILL THE FINAL IMAGES BE READY?
After your photography session, we book in a viewing day. This is usually around 2 weeks after your photo shoot.
This is where you will see all the final images on a beautiful slideshow. And then I will help with choosing which photos you would like printing.
